Troubleshooting Tracker Installation
Here are some things to check if you’re having a hard time getting started.
1. Confirm the tracker.js file has loaded
The default installation recommends including the following tag in the
<head> of your page:
If it loads successfully, you should have a
window.trackJs object that contains our API. The tracker may fail to load if your connectivity to Amazon Cloudfront is blocked or manipulated.
If you are unable to load from our CDN, you can download and include our script with your local sources and integrate with your build process.
2. Confirm you’ve specified a token
3. Verify errors are being transmitted
When manually tracking an error, you should see an AJAX request to
capture.trackjs.com with a 200 response. The request should include your token in
customer.token. Confirm that it matches your token.
Note: The Easy Privacy List from Adblock will prevent the sending of errors to our servers. This is a very aggressive privacy list that blocks many scripts, including ours.
